We would welcome all School of Management PhD students to forward their presentation or poster on or before Friday 8 th May 2009 . Please send them to Abbas Alimoradi – aas1e08@soton.ac.uk

Presentations:

  1. Each presentation will take about 15 minutes (10 minutes talk + 5 minutes Q&A).

  2. We would especially encourage the 1st year and 2nd year students to present. This will be an excellent opportunity to practice your presentations and present your research before you go out for international conferences, and even 1st year students can talk about what you want do and what problems/fears you think you may face in your research.

  3. We have all the IT facilities to use in the Lecture Room. Please save your PPT on a removable disk and bring it with you to the conference. If you have difficulties in this, please contact the conference team.

  4. There is a £75 prize for the best presentation!

Posters:

  1. There is no constraint on the size and the colour of the poster. You can do whatever you want (from size A4 to A0, black and white or colour), but please let us know about the size in advance so that we can orrange the display board for you.

  2. For those who want to make professional posters, we would recommend the Cartographic Unit in School of Geography. They do big posters for students but unfortunately not for free.

  3. There is a £50 prize for the best poster!

The deadline for submitting your presentations and/or posters is Friday 8th May 2009.

If you have any questions regarding the conference/presentations/posters/programmes etc, please feel free to contact Abbas Alimoradi – aas1e08@soton.ac.uk . We would be very happy to answer any of your questions.
