Research
At the University of Southampton's School of Management, we pride ourselves on our international reputation for academic and teaching excellence. Much of our research is carried out with private and public organisations at a national, European and international level including collaborations with other academic institutions. In the 2008 RAE, the School achieved an impressive result of 2.6. Fifty-five per cent of the submitted research papers in a wide range of areas, from Management Science to Accountancy and Finance, have been judged “world class” or “internationally excellent” in terms of originality, significance and rigour. Our PhD programme has also been awarded mode 'A' recognition by the ESRC.
